Cooking
Here’s the deal - Tom loves to cook and he does it well. For most of our marriage, I’ve had to work longer or later hours and such. But when I work part-time and am home in the afternoons, it becomes my job to cook - uggggh! And that’s cooking for a person who’s job is to critique. He has a very refine palate and doesn’t just eat anything as a lot of men would. Add to that the two kids who are by definition pretty picky.
So what do I cook? First, I should say that we eat at home most every night usually as a family. We pretty much use fresh ingredients. We maybe go out to eat once every month or two to a fairly cheap restaurnat, and a few times a year, we’ll get a babysitter and go out for date night.
Tom has a couple of things that are simple for me to get ready and cook (chicken wings and burgers, mac and cheese). I also have a few Turkish things (from my mom) that I cook. Other than that, I peruse a couple of websites and find some high rated recipes and try those out.
