Using our frequent flier miles
Tom and I have been saving frequent flier miles since we got married. I also had saved some up before we got married. So that’s about 8 years of miles. We charge everything, and by that I mean EVERYTHING, on the American Express and pay it off every month. We’ve had enough miles to go to Turkey for a few years now but we haven’t been able to go - either with moving across county, being pregnant, or whatever else. Last year we finally made the decision to go this year. Problem is that you have to schedule it 330 days ahead of time to be able to get 4 tickets at the same time. So last October, I scheduled our trip - we’ll be going in September, one of the best times to go to Turkey according to my mom and the cousin we’ll mostly be staying with. We’ll be gone for 2.5 weeks. All four uf us! Ideally, Kellan could be another year or two older, but with having been saving those miles for such a long time and not knowing what will happen to Delta in the next year or two, we decided to just bite the bullet.
