Tom’s been ouf-of-town
FOR THE PAST FIVE DAYS!!!! I’ve mostly been doing OK without him. I’ve definitely had some not so shining mommy moments, but for the most part, we’ve been OK. My motto when I’m home by myself is to get out of the house. Especially if the kids are cranky, I’ll try to go somewhere, anywhere - even going outside to play is better than staying inside.
There are people whose spouses travel frequently or travel for long periods of time (think military). There are also people who are single parents. Then there are people whose spouses work long hours and/or are unavailable to deal with things when they are home.
I wonder how military parents, single parents, people whose spouses are alwasy gone do it. There are so many scenarios. I’m not sure what’s the most difficult situation. I’ll just say that I’m thankful for my situation. And Tom’s not here to read this blog before I post it.
