Our First Marriage #122: Naked Swedes

Capt. Evil did something funny – and got wet. Nakedness and your kids – when is it too much? When is a fight not about nachos? Becoming that crazy parent you make fun of. Do you list your dog on your homeowners insurance? We’d advise no. Punkalicious busted Tom playing Rock Band – sort of made him proud. T-ball and lice, apparently there’s a connection. I had been wondering about the kids seeing you naked thing because I read in some books that you should cover up in front of your child from the age of 2! I thought this was a bit young so interesting to see what you guys had to say.

I think that advice comes from the “skirts to the floor, sleeves to the wrists, collar to the neck” school of thought. We’re a bit more progressive around here.

“Don’t be surprised to see exposed breasts here and there when you travel to Scandinavia. There’s a certain liberty about sex issues in Scandinavia that you’ll rarely find anywhere else. Sexuality in Scandinavia is treated more openly, which can be quite shocking to visitors from other parts of the world.”

So does this put to rest the fact that Tanel was right and may know a thing or two more about the world than the rest of the team? And if it needs clarification, Sweden is a Scandinavian country. So backoff!

And here’s one more. . .
http://goscandinavia.about.com/od/thingstodo/qt/nudism_scandin.htm
“Nudism in Scandinavia is nothing unusual – after all, Scandinavia is the most open-minded region in the world. It’s perfectly legal to swim naked, or to sunbathe topless or in the nude in Scandinavia.”

I rest my case

But it isn’t the ONLY Scandinavian country is it? Not saying I don’t want to go there but you have to admit it was a completely random and off the wall comment.
