theresa Being comfortable/happy with your arrangement – that’s totally the key! I really enjoyed working just a few hours a week while the kids were babies – but we gradually realized we just couldn’t swing the finances long term.

That’s great that you guys can get good sushi – in our new budget, that’s one of the few dinners out that we’re still doing!
I’ve been experimenting with peanut butter cookie recipes from the King Arthur cookie cookbook, and they all came out great. I asked Patrick to try a lemon cookie recipe, it was quite good, but not as good as Tanel’s lemon ricotta cookies.

Just to be clear I wasn’t insulting working moms! I’d be working if we would come out ahead after day care cost. But I adore being a stay at home mom.
Oh and we have a sushi place that has it’s fish flown in on a private plane to the Sioux city airport. Sometimes it’d the only plane that goes in our out!
